Spend the weekend at the Zoo! The Indianapolis Zoo is all about Moms on Mother’s Day weekend, whether they are human or not. Moms can enjoy a Zoo-wide scavenger hunt, photo stations, free treats and more May 12 & 13. Spring is the perfect time to discover all the matriarchs that call the Zoo home.
Take Mom to Victory Field. Bring the family and sit back, relax and enjoy an afternoon of special promotions, activities and baseball. Watch as the Indianapolis Indians take on the Columbus Clippers May 13. As part of Kids Eat Free Sunday, children 14 and under will receive a voucher good for a hot dog, bag of chips and bottle of water with the price of admission.

Delight Mom with Dance. Take Mom to see the Indianapolis School of Ballet as it returns with a special showcase for Mother’s Day. Visit the Toby at Newfields for the May We Dance Showcase at 2 or 4:30 p.m. May 13.
Stroll through Newfields. Head outside and explore the gardens at Newfields from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. May 13 for Mother’s Day at Newfields. Don’t forget to grab a delicious glass of champagne or mint iced tea before you leave.
Traverse the Canal. Old World Gondoliers is kicking off their spring season, just in time for Mother’s Day. Let mom be serenaded in Italian by a singing gondolier as she is transported to Venice on the Canal. Book a 30-minute public boat ride at 3, 5 & 7 p.m. for $30 per person plus tip. Private gondolas for up to eight passengers are also available for $180 plus tip. Reservations are suggested as the rides often sell out on holidays.
Bring mom Downtown for a great meal. Weber Grill is offering Mother’s Day Specials all day from noon – 9 p.m. Specials include chocolate cherry pretzel bread, crab cake benedict, grilled skirt steak and more.
