Earth Day is right around the corner, and you can find simple solutions to become more eco-conscious with special activities from 10am-2pm on Saturday, April 20, that are all free with Zoo admission.

Under the Bicentennial Pavilion, visitors can have a close encounter and learn how to plant an eggshell herb garden. Plus, fun games will help teach children the importance of recycling.

At White River Gardens, discovery opportunities await especially for younger visitors inside the Family Nature Center, which will have extended hours from 10am-4pm.

Even a few of the Zoo’s animals will get in on the fun with special themed enrichment, complimenting a full schedule of spring animal chats.

Plus, visit the Indianapolis Zoo booth along with dozens of other exhibitors at the Earth Day Indiana Festival at Military Park.
