The Canal Walk
Go technology-free and just explore Downtown Indy. The Canal Walk, stretching north through White River state Park to 11th Street, serves the Downtown community as a waterside promenade for walkers, runners and bikers. Along the way, check out the beautiful sculptures and landscaping, as well as outdoor gardens near the Eiteljorg Museum.
As the geographic heart of the city, Monument Circle is an ideal spot to tour. Visit the Colonel Eli Lilly Civil War Museum located inside or journey to the top of the Monument for a 360 degree view of the city skyline from 275 feet up.
Talk a stroll along Georgia Street, a three block, pedestrian-friendly street that connects the Indiana Convention Center, Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Circle Centre and a collection of restaurants, residences, hotels and the historic St. John's Catholic Church. Find intriguing public art along the way, including Wooden's Legacy (affectionately known as The Legs) by Jeffrey Rouse.
