Irish Hill

A wee bit of Ireland Downtown

Irish Hill was first developed in the 1850s and is still considered one of the Midwest's major Irish-American communities. The residents have always been hard working, interested in politics and many with strong religious devotion. The area was once known for being one of the toughest neighborhoods in town, but today is a thriving part of Downtown Indy, north of Fountain Square.
