Fifth annual Blarney Bash: live music and green beer on the Boardwalk
Head to Georgia Street Friday, March 17 between 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. for a celebration of all things Irish. Jiffy Lube’s Blarney Bash, in partnership with iHeart Media, Downtown Indy Inc., Coors Light, Guinness and Jack Daniel’s, will feature three live bands, green beer, food and plenty o’ spirits from Georgia Street restaurants. Local bands The Late Show, The Doo and My Yellow Rickshaw will play. Tickets are available for a limited time online for $7 each or four for $25; $10 at the door. Attendees must be 21 or older.
Downtown Indy St. Patrick’s Day traditions
The Rathskeller will host the 20th annual Indianapolis Downtown Irish Fest on Friday, March 17 with Irish food and live music from Brian Cunningham & The Irish Aires, The Woomblies and Zanna-Doo! Admission is FREE.
The Shamrock Rock 5K Beer Run takes place Saturday, March 11 starting at 2 p.m. at Military Park. Participants can start their run with a toast of local brew and then stop every kilometer to drink another beer. Registration is $35 until Feb. 27; $40 after. All runners get a shirt, medal and souvenir pint glass of beer.
Indianapolis City Market is hosting a free St. Patrick’s Day Children’s Scavenger Hunt March 17 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. The day will include a shamrock stamping art project, face painting and green beads.
