is a free, two-day interactive light festival featuring artists and performers from Indianapolis and beyond. This event celebrates the 100th
anniversary of the Indianapolis Foundation. Expected attendance: 30,000
Motorcycles on Meridian
Downtown Indy, Inc.'s Motorcycles on Meridian presented by Thunder Roads Indiana will take over Monument Circle and South Meridian Street Saturday, Aug. 27 from noon – midnight. Bikes will be on site, from stylish Harleys and Ducatis to sport bikes to motor scooters. A Motorcycle Marketplace will be set up on Georgia Street. Admission is free. Expected attendance: 70,000
The inaugural Indianapolis Wine Festival is a two-day festival at American Legion Mall Aug. 26 & 27. Attendees can enjoy tastings, expert and sommelier-led seminars and pairing tips. Expected attendance: 5,000
IndyFringe Festivalcontinues this weekend at Downtown theatres, especially throughout Mass Ave. With eight different venues, 64 performing groups and 384 performances, this festival is a cultural catalyst for the Indy arts community. Expected attendance is 5,000 this weekend.
Dig IN – A Taste of Indiana takes place Aug. 28 from noon – 4 p.m. at Military Park. Attendees can sample locally-produced food and drink prepared by more than 40 world-class chefs. Expected attendance: 5,000
Devour Downtown offers three-course, value-priced menus at more than 70 various Indianapolis restaurants. Expected attendance: hundreds of diners at numerous Downtown restaurants
The Center for Leadership Development will provide parents and students a comprehensive understanding of the college readiness process at the College Prep Conference & College Fair Saturday, Aug. 27 from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Indiana Convention Center. Registration is closed; no walk-ins. Expected attendance: 1,500

The Indiana Feverwill play Washington Saturday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The Fever will honor Tamika Catchings on her fourth Olympic gold medal. Expected attendance: 12,000
Friday, Aug. 26
The south lane of the west block of Georgia Street will be closed 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. for Food Truck Friday.
Saturday, Aug. 27
The Veterans Charity Ride will result in the closure of Michigan Street between Meridian and Pennsylvania streets from 8 - 11:30 a.m.
South Street between Capitol Avenue and West Street will be closed 11 a.m. - midnight.
Motorcycles on Meridian will result in the following closures from 11 a.m. – midnight Saturday:
- Meridian Street between South and Vermont streets
- Monument Circle and spokes
- Jackson Place between McCrea and Meridian streets
- South lane of Georgia Street between McCrea and Scioto streets
- Chesapeake Street between Meridian and Pennsylvania streets
- Georgia Street – portions of the East and Center blocks
The west block of Georgia Street will be closed 1 - 9 p.m. for Bud Light Tailgate on Georgia Street.
