Canal Nights

Celebrate summer nights on the canal with free activities and family fun, Wednesday evenings in June and July. This month, explore fireworks, gardens, Apollo 11 and more during different themed nights.

Schedule is as follows: 

June 5
Indiana State Museum – Color on the Canal: Celebrate an Indiana summer full of vivid color, with hands-on activities and demonstrations. 
Eiteljorg Museum concert: The Sawyer Family Band (Western Swing)

June 12
Indiana State Museum - Nature Play Day: Enjoy classic outdoor activities like corn hole and hula hooping and participate in hands-on fun from community partners. 
Eiteljorg Museum concert: Midtown Mad Men (50s-60s Rock and Roll)

June 19
Indiana State Museum – Chemistry Night: Conduct experiments, see a few (safe) explosions, and explore how we use chemistry every day.

June 26
Indiana State Museum – Build It: Test your engineering skills by designing your own building and trying some hand tools, then talk to local engineers.

July 3
Indiana State Museum – Boom and Sparkle: Celebrate the Fourth with a bang by creating patriotic crafts and learning about the Declaration of Independence.

July 10
Indiana State Museum – Field to Fork: Explore how Indiana produce ends up on your plate, discover gardening tips and learn some fresh recipes to make for yourself.

July 17
Indiana State Museum – To the Moon!: Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 space flight that put humans on the moon and enjoy space-related activities.
