Memorial Service & AES 500 Reverse Parade

Kick start your race weekend with “500 Spectacle of Homes,” in place of the traditional AES 500 Festival Parade. The 500 Spectacle of Homes will activate in neighborhoods across Indianapolis throughout the Month of May leading into Indy 500 Race Weekend and it will culminate with a “reverse parade” on Saturday, May 29. This will include a caravan of the 33 Indy 500 drivers who will make their way from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, throughout surrounding neighborhoods and downtown Indianapolis.

The reason for the weekend launches with The American Legion 500 Festival Memorial Service on May 28. The event will have a limited capacity by invitation only. Plan to watch WISH-TV's livestream option as a broadcast of the event on Memorial Day.

Amazing Alligators & Crocodiles

Beginning Memorial Day weekend, marvel at the Indianapolis Zoo's newest exhibit, Alligators & Crocodiles: The Fight to Survive presented by Central Indiana Honda Dealers. Meet two of the most impressive reptiles on the planet. Species include the American alligator and the Orinoco crocodile.

Indy 500 Race

Start your engines! The Month of May is all about the Indy 500. Thirty-three drivers. 200 laps. 500 miles. One bottle of cold milk. The only thing missing from this magical Indianapolis 500 mix is you. Don't miss out an incredible edition of "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing" at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
