Come and celebrate all weekend long with a packed schedule featuring sporting events, fan experiences, pop-ups along Washington Street, light-based public art installations, sculptures celebrating Indiana’s basketball tradition, storefront murals, and more. Downtown’s Core Venues Bring The Excitement

NBA Crossover

NBA Crossover is taking place at the Indiana Convention Center from February 16-18 and is a multi-day interactive fan event that brings basketball culture to the forefront, featuring player appearances, live performances and unique activations focused on art, music, fashion, technology and entertainment! 


Panini Rising Stars Challenge

The Panini Rising Stars Challenge is the NBA’s annual showcase of the league’s premiere young talent happening Friday, February 16 at 9 p.m. at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The event features first- and second-year players.


Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game

The 2024 Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game will take place starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 16 at Lucas Oil Stadium. This annual star-studded event features talent from media, sports and entertainment competing on the court to tip-off the weekend’s marquee events.


NBA All-Star Practice & Media Day

Tipping off Saturday morning, February 17 at 11 a.m. at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, NBA All-Star Practice & Media Day presented by AT&T will feature All-Star players and coaches poised to participate in the 73rd NBA All-Star game the next day. The All-Stars will share thoughts and answer questions during the media availability and take to the court for practice with their coaches and teammates.


NBA x HBCU Classic 2024 presented by AT&T

Watch a rematch of the CIAA Championship as Winston-Salem State University takes on Virginia Union University in the third annual NBA x HBCU Classic 2024 presented by AT&T on Saturday, February 17 at 2 p.m. at Gainbridge Fieldhouse!


State Farm All-Star Saturday Night

State Farm All-Star Saturday Night will take place on Saturday, February 17, at Lucas Oil Stadium as 35,000 fans gather to watch the league’s brightest stars showcase their skills in the AT&T Slam Dunk, Starry 3-Point Contest and Kia Skills Challenge! The event tips off at 8 p.m.


NBA All Star Game 2024

The 73rd NBA All-Star Game will take place at 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 18. As the league celebrates basketball’s deep roots in the state of Indiana, the All-Star Game will feature the return of both the classic matchup between the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference and the traditional scoring system with four 12-minute quarters. The voting process to determine the NBA All-Stars will remain the same, with 12 players selected from each conference. The 2024 NBA All-Star Game will air on TNT in the United States and reach fans in more than 200 countries and territories in more than 50 languages.


Arts & Culture Takes Center Stage

In addition to a star-studded lineup of sporting events and fan experiences, community organizations including the Indy Arts Council, GANGGANG, and Indiana Humanities are leveraging the Downtown canvas as a love letter to basketball through public art and activations. GANGGANG’s Cultural Corridor

Throughout the entire NBA All-Star 2024 weekend, creative advocacy firm GANGGANG will reimagine Washington Street as the “Cultural Corridor,” complete with pop-up experiences at the former Pearings and Rock Bottom sites as well as BUTTER at Indy’s Home Court at the Indianapolis Artsgarden, the first expansion of the nationally acclaimed art fair.

  • Plaid & Pearls Coffee + Walk N’ Talks: Are you ready to experience the ultimate fusion of culture and taste in Downtown Indianapolis? Plaid & Pearls Coffee, a vibrant local woman-owned business, is set to breathe new life into the former Pearings space at the corner of Washington and Meridian Streets. Plaid & Pearls will also be the “tip-off” location of free All-Star walking tours led by “Lover of Indiana History” Sampson Levingston, free for all ages, interests, and ability levels.
  • The Suite: Right next door, the former Rock Bottom site will be revitalized as The Suite, offering delectable eats from the International Marketplace, refreshments from the Henderson Bar, music curated by Chreece Presents: Nap City The Basement, comedy from Made Man Improv, and trendy fashion finds from Cargo Streetwear Boutique. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss, February 16-18 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. 
  • BUTTER at Indy’s Home Court: Prepare to be amazed at the exciting debut expansion of BUTTER: A Fine Art Fair, showcasing nearly 30 phenomenal Black artists on a national stage during NBA All-Star 2024. BUTTER at Indy’s Home Court blends the dynamic energy of visual art and basketball February 16-18 at the iconic Indianapolis Artsgarden.

Public Art Installations

Across Downtown during NBA All-Star 2024, Indy’s arts and culture scene will take center stage with light-based public art installations, sculptures celebrating Indiana’s basketball tradition, large-scale storefront murals, graffiti art, and much more. Head to Monument Circle February 15-18, for “Shining A Light: The All-Star Spark,” which will showcase the spirit of NBA Basketball on the surrounding building facades from 7-11 p.m. nightly. Catch A Show In All-Star Style


17th Annual All Star Gospel Celebration

The 17th annual All-Star Gospel Celebration will “tip off” Thursday, February 15 at the historic Madam Walker Legacy Center. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the concert celebration running from 7-9 p.m. See performances from Grammy Award-winning artists Dante Bowe and Kelontae Gavin, gospel saxophonist Angella Christie, and FOX’s “The Four” winner Evvie McKinney.

Mike Epps All Star Throwback Concert

Get ready to experience a night of laughter and top-notch entertainment on Friday, February 16th as the acclaimed comedian Mike Epps hosts the All-Star Throwback Concert. Along with Epps, you can look forward to appearances from Rakim, Kwamé, Monie Love, Greg Nice, Dana Dane, and Chubb Rock at the Madam Walker Legacy Center!


SLAM Film Festival

To complement NBA All-Star 2024 festivities, Heartland Film will partner with RTG Features for the inaugural SLAM Film Festival, February 16-18. 15 basketball-themed films are scheduled to play for three days at Living Room Theaters. Many of the films will have Q&As with the filmmakers and subjects, including a discussion with 9x NBA All-Star and former Indiana Pacers player Paul George after the “Amongst the Trees” screening at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 16.
