Downtown Indy, Inc.’s Motorcycles on Meridian presented by ABATE of Indiana takes place Saturday, Aug. 26

WHAT:             One of the most iconic two-wheel events in the country, Downtown Indy, Inc.’s Motorcycles on Meridian presented by ABATE of Indiana, is taking over Downtown Saturday, Aug. 26 from 4 p.m. – midnight.


                          Motorcycling enthusiasts can head to Georgia Street to see the latest offerings from Southside Harley, Rider Insurance and more.


Spectators – no bikes needed – are also invited to come Downtown and check out the motorcycles on display. Stop by the Hoosier Lottery Lot at 125 S. Meridian St. and check out Hoosier Lottery’s newest and hottest scratch-offs. Enjoy a DJ, giveaways and more.


WHEN:            Saturday Aug. 26, 4 p.m. – midnight.


  • Monument Circle and spokes
  • Meridian Street between Ohio and South streets
  • 125 S. Meridian Street Lot and Georgia Street will be a marketplace only – no motorcycle parking


WHO:           Downtown Indy, Inc., ABATE of Indiana and Hoosier Lottery - Interviews are available by Downtown Indy, Inc. staff


TRAFFIC:     The following streets will be closed to traffic from 3 p.m. - midnight:

  • Meridian Street between Ohio and South streets
  • Monument Circle and all spokes
  • Jackson Place between McCrea and Meridian streets
  • The south lane of Georgia Street between McCrea and Scioto streets
  • Chesapeake Street between Meridian and Pennsylvania streets
