Downtown’s end of year business openings: Nov-Dec 2023

Downtown Indy has wrapped up 2023 with exciting new business openings! Café Patachou introduced its seventh location in The Stutz, a redevelopment that has welcomed a total of nine openings in 2023. Five Iron Golf, a new indoor golf entertainment venue featuring simulators, food and drink, and event spaces, is now open on N Pennsylvania St. Several new restaurants have also opened in time to host visitors for NBA All-Star 2024 weekend including Loco Fresh Mexican and Taco Bell Cantina.

Indianapolis Animal Urgent Care, 827 S East St

Emergency room veterinarians from surrounding Indy ER hospitals opened the city’s first dedicated veterinary urgent care hospital, conveniently located in Fletcher Place to serve the regional center’s growing residential population. Indianapolis Animal Urgent Care (IAUC) aims to provide immediate care to sick, injured, and ill dogs and cats in a convenient and transparent way. As an independent, locally, and family-owned business, IAUC fills the gap between primary care veterinarians and the emergency room. Café Patachou, 1060 N Capitol Ave

Café Patachou, Indianapolis’ award-winning “student union for adults,” opened a new location this past Nov. in The Stutz building, its second location Downtown and seventh in total. Directly adjacent to N Capitol Ave, the space features ample seating options, an art bar, and a private dining room (available for reservation) where foodies can enjoy breakfast, lunch, coffee, pastries, or even on-tap espresso martinis. Sneakerology, 49 W Maryland St

Circle Centre Mall welcomed its newest addition, Sneakerology, a shoe consignment shop featuring exclusive and rare footwear, now open on Level 2. For individuals with both seasoned experience in sneaker collecting and those who are newly venturing into the realm of footwear, Sneakerology is an exciting option for enthusiasts.

Five Iron Golf, 421 N Pennsylvania St Suite 101

Five Iron Golf, a new year-round indoor golf entertainment venue, opened its doors along N Pennsylvania St this past Dec. The space features 12 high-tech Trackman simulators along with flexible event spaces, two full-service bars, locally crafted food menus, table games like air hockey, pool, and shuffleboard, and widescreen TVs perfect for watching your favorite game. Five Iron also provides access to teaching professionals, practice time, leagues, club storage, showers, and top-of-the-line clubs that are free to use during your booking.

Loco Fresh Mexican, 301 E Market St

Known for its authentic tacos, burritos, tortas, and dips, Downtown dwellers can now enjoy Loco Fresh Mexican at its new location on E Market St, connected to the Cummins Global Distribution Headquarters. With an emphasis on “fast” while also maintaining “freshness,” the convenient street level storefront offers both delivery and dine-in options from its expansive menu, available for online ordering HERE. Taco Bell Cantina, 24 W Washington St

Indianapolis is the latest city to debut a Taco Bell Cantina, a concept introduced across the country including other Midwest cities such as Cleveland, Chicago, and Madison, WI. Located on W Washington St in the space previously occupied by Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery, the new restaurant and bar combines Taco Bell’s existing fast-food selections along with alcoholic beverages and other exclusive menu items. Taco Bell Cantina is now open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 a.m.
