*Monumental Weekend: these are event-heavy weekends designated by Downtown Indy, Inc. where high foot and vehicular traffic will likely occur – weekends that draw additional Downtown visitors above and beyond a regular weekend. Nearly 200,000 visitors and residents are anticipated over three days.
Colts Kickoff Concert & Game
Colts Nation, are you ready? Startthe weekend off at the Colts Kickoff Concert Friday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. Head to the east block of Georgia Street and spend an evening being entertained by Chase Rice, Pat McAfee and special guests, Clayton Anderson and Ben Gallaher. Admission is FREE, but tickets are required.
End the weekend with the Colts season-opener game Sunday, Sept. 9 at 1 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium. Cheer on Andrew Luck and the team as they take on the Cincinnati Bengals. Tickets start at $42
Check out Art at the Market from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the Indianapolis City Market featuring local artists, musical performances and Indiana craft beer from Tomlinson Tap Room. Admission is FREE. Additional Downtown studios and galleries will be open Friday including the Harrison Center, Indiana Landmarks and more.
Enjoy the First Food Truck Friday Festival Sept. 7 at 5 p.m. at Old National Centre. More than 25 food trucks will be on site in the Old National Centre parking lot. Enjoy live music by Ash Rock students. Tickets are $5 or FREE for kids five and younger. In addition, Old National Centre is hosting weIIRED Comedy Tour at 8 p.m. and the WLDLFE at 8 p.m. Friday; Brandi Carlile at 8 p.m. Saturday.
Experience Downtown Indy in a whole new way at Indiana Sport Corp’s annual Indy Ultimate urban adventure race presented by Central Indiana Community Foundation. The race kicks off Saturday, Sept. 8 at 8:30 a.m. on Monument Circle. Participants will run or walk a five-mile route that goes in and through some of Downtown’s most beloved venues including Lucas Oil Stadium, Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Victory Field and the Canal. All ages 10 and older are welcome. Tickets range from $55 - $65.
Sun King CANvitational
Try numerous beers at the Midwest’s largest canned craft beer festival, Sun King CANvitational Saturday, Sept. 8 from 1 – 5 p.m. on Georgia Street. The festival showcases craft beer from more than five award-winning breweries across the nation, along with local food trucks and music. Tickets are $50 for general admission, $75 for noon early entry and $10 for designated drivers.
Brickyard 400 & FGL Fest
Continue racing through the weekend with the 25th running of the Big Machine Vodka 400 powered by Florida Georgia Line Sunday, Sept. 9 at noon at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Tickets start at $35.
The race fun starts on Friday with the NASCAR XFINITY Series practice followed by a second day of practice and qualifications on Saturday.
Saturday, Sept. 8 don’t miss the FGL Fest featuring Florida Georgia Line, Cole Swindell, Nelly and five additional national music performers from 3 – 11 p.m. at IMS. Also included are the Monster Energy FMX Show and a mobile video game arena powered by 704GAMES. Tickets are $39 or grab a 4-pack for $125.

The east block of Georgia Street will be closed 5 a.m. Friday – 1 a.m. Saturday for the Colts Kickoff Concert.
Saturday, Sept. 8
Monument Circle will be closed 4 a.m. – 5 p.m. for Indiana Sport Corp’s Indy Ultimate urban adventure race presented by Central Indiana Community Foundation. Partial closures will occur along the route.
The west block of Georgia Street will be closed 6 a.m. – 8 p.m. for Sun King CANvitational.
