Drink deep of the culture that surrounds you this week with Chris Baggott from ClusterTruck.
Today on the menu: ClusterTruck’s fresh, hot, local food served right to your door with a side of Drink Culture. Chris Baggott is reinventing food delivery with ClusterTruck, but it took many lessons learned during his years of entrepreneurship to be in the position he is today. We cut into Chris’ background to learn how a struggling student found his passion while teaching people how to kayak at the most liberal college in the nation. If you only think of Chris as the founder of ExactTarget and ClusterTruck, you’ll be surprised to see a full plate of start-ups from dry-cleaning businesses to farms on his resume. Chris’ passion for supporting Indy’s local economy has made him a familiar name in the city, and after listening to this episode, you’ll understand why he deserves the recognition.
Two or three of the biggest players are fighting it out on the circle… the wars of marketing
technology are being fought on the streets of Indianapolis. – Chris Baggott, ClusterTruck
Chris transitioned from email marketing to food after reading The Omnivore’s Dilemma . Once he recognized how the food system isn’t built for healthy, local food to be easily accessible, he opened Tyner Pond Farms. Most tech millionaires wouldn’t dirty their shoes in a pigsty, but Chris still takes a hands on approach to his businesses, including opening subsequent restaurants to serve the farm’s produce. Outside of the barn, he shares how Indianapolis is at the forefront of the marketing technology industry and what that means for Downtown Indianapolis.
