Drink deep of the culture that surrounds you this week with Greg and Jessie Harding from The Garden Table.
A fresh-pressed juice is the perfect pairing for a bitterly cold winter afternoon, a humid sunny summer day, and everything in-between. After traveling to the East and West Coasts where juicing was taking off, Jessie and Greg Harden decided to take a leap and bring the nutritious and flavorful drink to Indianapolis. In a new market like Indianapolis, spending $8 on a juice was a large cultural adoption. Therefore, Jessie and Greg decided to combine the idea with farm-to-table food and cocktails and open everyone’s favorite brunch spot, The Garden Table.
For those who have side-hustles, Jessie drops knowledge bombs on when to turn your side-hustle into a full-time job. However, Jessie still works for Crafted as a Creative Director while Greg manages the day-to-day operations and the curated wine list. Of which, Greg is qualified to do because his previous role was in wine sales. Although the need for balance is constant, Jessie and Greg enjoy influencing the culture in Indianapolis towards fresh, nutrient-packed options, especially when it’s mixed with your favorite spirit.
“We are right in the middle of the farmland, so why don’t we put two-and-two together… and use the food to bridge the gap for the juice to get people from both sides. Next thing you know, we had a restaurant.” – Greg Harden, The Garden Table
The Garden Table expanded from Broad Ripple to Mass Ave, which is where their strikingly expensive juicer presses the delicious fruit and veggie concoctions we all enjoy. Drink deep of the culture that surrounds you this week with Greg and Jessie Harding from The Garden Table.
