The Indianapolis Zoo offers non-stop amusement and fun for the whole family. The brand new xZooberance Spring Festival offers music, art, nature, dancing and much more. This event runs March 21 – April 7, Thursday – Sunday. The Zoo will also have a new dolphin presentation along with the return of Butterfly Kaleidoscope.
Come experience the Color of Style exhibit at the Indiana State Museum opening March 16. This one-of-a-kind event looks at style through the lens of color and lets you explore the ways how who we are, shapes the way we dress – and the colors we chose to wear.
The Eiteljorg Museum is celebrating 30 years of story-telling, art exhibits and Western galleries. Join the museum for its 30th anniversary party March 28. The museum will also open a new exhibit March 9, A Sense of Beauty: Showcasing the Power and Beauty of Native Art,
While traveling between WRSP attractions, make sure to take a walk on the Canal or try out the guided Segway tours.
If the weather is limiting you to stay inside, head Downtown for indoor events that take place rain or shine.
The Children’s Museum’s Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience is a true fan favorite. With a combination of sports history, physical fitness, health education and family fun, it’s a must for spring break. Don’t miss the Chocolate River themed slide opening March 9 and Star Trek, Exploring New Worlds open until April 7.
If you’re in the mood to learn about the past, head to the Indiana Historical Society and enter You Are There 1939: Exploring Angel Mounds. In this exhibit you can talk to workers on the brink of uncovering the site of a once thriving Mississippian town in Southern Indiana.
